Silent Observer is a Cadillac Area Chamber of Commerce Program which operates in Wexford and Missaukee Counties.  The objective is to receive anonymous tips on any criminal activity that has occurred or is about to occur.

Callers can access the system either by telephone or the Internet.

Silent Observer pays up to $5,000 for information which leads to criminal arrests!

Callers are asked to provide as much information as possible (i.e., suspect name, address, date and time of occurrence, nature of the crime, suspect vehicle description, etc.).

Initially, the caller should provide a "tipster" number they can easily remember later.  This number will be needed when they call back at a later date to find out if an award was approved for their tip.  The award may be picked up or arrangements made for an anonymous location to maintain strict anonymity.

The telephone number to call and check if an award was paid on their tip is (231) 779-0854 .  The only information the caller will need to provide is their "tipster" number, date of their tip report, and the nature of the tip.
